The garbage disposal installed in your home is guaranteed by the manufacturer against defects in material and workmanship for one year. If upon moving into your home, the disposal is not working properly, call us immediately. Further service calls due to jamming or stoppages are considered normal homeowner maintenance. Feel free to call us if you have a question on the correct operation of a disposal.
Your hot water heater is guaranteed against defects in workmanship, leakage and electrical problems from the R. J. Kielty Plumbing, Inc. for one year. The tank only is guaranteed for five years from the date of installation from the manufacturer. The water heater would be replaced on a pro-rated basis.
Aerated water: The foggy, cloudy water you are getting from your hot water faucet is common. There is no cause for alarm, because what you are experiencing is highly aerated water. When water is heated a free molecule of oxygen is released and as the water travels through the piping, the turbulence creates the foggy water. As the water becomes stable in a glass, you will notice that the water clears.
Should a stoppage in the drain lines exist when you move into your home, notify us immediately. Future stoppages are considered normal homeowner maintenance.
Water Closets: As of January 1, 1994 Federal Law required manufacturers to ship 1.6 gallon water closets for residential use.
1.6 closets look and flush differently from the old 3.5 gallon closets. The 1.6 gallon tank uses 57% less water and provides the function of waste disposal effectively. The one statement heard most is the small water spot. This is the result of holding more of the water in the tank to have maximum head pressure to assist in the flush. One of the greatest challenges in selling and getting these new designs accepted is the education of the consumer as to the appearance and operation of these toilets.
